The Honda Civic Hatchback (90 TRunk Rear) and the Honda CR-X (89 Light) are both reliable and popular vehicles, each with their own strengths and weaknesses:
Honda Civic Hatchback (90 TRunk Rear): Pros:1. Fuel Efficiency: The Civic is known for its excellent fuel economy, which can save you money on gas over time.
2. Reliability: Honda vehicles have a reputation for being reliable and durable, which can reduce maintenance costs.
3. Space: The hatchback design provides more cargo space than a traditional sedan.
Cons:1. Performance: While the Civic is not slow, it may not be as fun to drive or as powerful as some other options in its class.
2. Exterior Design: Some people may find the hatchback design less appealing than a traditional sedan or coupe.
Honda CR-X (89 Light): Pros:1. Handling: The CR-X is known for its excellent handling and agility, making it a fun car to drive.
2. Affordability: Older models of the CR-X can be more affordable than newer models or other similarly-sized vehicles.
3. Rare and Desirable: The CR-X is a classic car that is becoming more popular and desirable, which can increase its resale value.
Cons:1. Reliability: Older cars may require more maintenance and repairs than newer models.
2. Cargo Space: The CR-X has less cargo space than the Civic due to its smaller size and coupe design.
In conclusion, both the Civic Hatchback and the CR-X have their own merits and drawbacks. If you prioritize fuel efficiency, reliability, and cargo space, the Civic Hatchback might be the better choice. If you value handling, affordability, and desirability, the CR-X might be more appealing. Ultimately, the best choice depends on your personal preferences and needs. It would be wise to test drive both vehicles and consider factors such as condition, price, and maintenance costs before making a decision.

The part number has been provided in this listing. I removed this from my car several years ago when I was parting it out and it has been stored since then. Again, the part number for 1988 and 1989 Civics was slightly different. It is the factory original part that came with the vehicle, Honda part sh3 004, in the parts catalog as light assay.
This is the light assembly from the hatch or trunk area from my 1990 Honda Crx. The Honda part number for 1988 and 1989 Crx's is slightly different, but it should still fit.
I have also confirmed it is the same part number as the trunk light for a 1990 or 1991 Civic. It worked perfectly when removed from the vehicle.
The lens is clear and all tabs are solid, unbroken, un cracked.
